The WFOT has detected the publication of papers that attack ozone therapy in a deleterious but striking way, causing confusion in the scientific community. Discretely, in the past, WFOT General Secretary – Dr. Matteo Bonetti – along with FIO Past President – Dr. Marco Leonardi, wrote a letter to the editor of these papers to clarify the mistakes in the original publication, stressing to the readers the pitfalls and wrong ideas widespreaded in them.

Recently, the WFOT Scientific Committee Chairman – Dr. Lamberto Re – and WFOT President – Dr. José Baeza – have written 2 letters to the paper’s editor, which both have been accepted for publication in Cardiology and Acta Neurochirurgica.

It is very important for all of us that any publication about ozone therapy that may cause a negative impact on the scientific community, due to misconcepts or malinterpretation is refered to WFOT Scientific Committe so it can study the paper and write the proper aclaration. We encourage you all to do this task.
